I met the other members of the band yesterday night and we discussed a bit about how the gig went and possible future moves. It comes out that a place called "wanted" could be the next location for a possible gig. Then we could start taking a look around "my" places, since many pubs here began live music activity lately. It comes out that many of the people who came said us we're pretty good, and this is not for friendship matters. Particularly appreciated was our tracklist, combining '80 rock, progressive and gothic-symphonic metal. I always thought it was a good point, this one. We noticed how we started playing and we went on for the next almost two hours without any break. Even band's introducing. Nobody thought about saying our names, except for a mutual "favour" guitarist and keyboardist did while the other was playing a solo. Actually the guitarist thought about introducing me during the beginning of Pull Me Under, when the bass comes in, but he hesitated a bit and there was already time to keep concentrated since the song become a bit difficult.
Anyway, I got a DVD with our performance and a CD full of pictures. Singer's boyfriend did a very good job, considering he had a small compact camera. I'll take some time and then I'll publish something. For the pictures, I'm going to upload them on flickr, while, video, well, soon..
About videos. This morning, I had the chance to record something I promised to a friend and I hope my explanation will be clear, since it needed some audio and video to make the things understandable. I'm going to introduce three pronounciation issues regarding Italian language.
The pronounce of letter R
The pronounce of GL (alltogether)
The pronounce of double letters (BB, CC, DD etc)

I think it couldn't be clear to understand me so, I decided to post some "drawing" in order to put some light on it.
Here we have the GL sound and how to put the tongue.
The air should come out from the sides of the tongue. I found a method online. It says to have a candy on the center of tongue (upper side) and try to say the word "LI" [pronounced. "LEEE"]. It should work. Anyway, listen to me and you'll be fine.
Next and last one is the R pronounce. I didn't know it would be so difficult to say it from people. Usually asians has a bit of conceirning about it and choose to say "L" instead. So, if you want to say perfectly...
And now...Italian for Italians.
...E praticamente abbiamo parlato della serata e delle "recensioni" che abbiamo avuto da amici e parenti circa la nostra performance. Cioè, ieri sera, ci siamo visti per discutere e scambiare opinioni circa il nostro concerto e prossime mosse, visto che il tempo per provare, in questa stagione, diventa sempre più raro. Cominciamo col dire che la varietà della scaletta è stata apprezzata da molta gente, anche da chi non è fan di un particolare gruppo. Era un nostro punto di forza e lo sapevo bene. Visto che, ogni volta che scrivevo qui le nostre canzoni, mi rendevo conto che le influenze erano molto varie. Bene così.
C'è stata finalmente l'occasione di vedere il DVD che il tastierista ha ricavato dalle riprese che ha fatto. Per spiegarsi meglio, visto che qualcuno penserà che filmava mentre suonava, dirò che la telecamera era su un treppiede in un angolo del bancone. Ora, so già che altra gente penserà "ecco, i soliti sboroni, che con un misero concerto tra amici si fanno le riprese come se fossero i Metallica". Avete ragione, ecco perchè vi inibirò l'accesso al blog.
A dire la verità, tutto è nato nell'esigenza di avere un demo da proporre ai vari locali. Mancando le risorse finanziarie, ma soprattutto la voglia di andare in uno studio a fare un demo di cui verrà ascoltata al massimo una canzone, abbiamo pensato "perchè non registrarci al concerto?". Andrea, il tastierista, è appassionato di video editing e registrazione, perciò, perchè non approfittarne?
Qualche spezzone lo pubblicherò prossimamente su youtube, così come le foto, su flickr. Abbiate pazienza. Negli ultimi giorni sto provando l'amplificatore per basso che mi è stato prestato e, visto che Lunedì lo dovrò riconsegnare, lo stavo provando "intensamente". E magari ci scappa anche un video di commento/recensione.
Nel frattempo, appello a Steve McFalz. Parlavi di registrazione. Nel caso, tempi, modi, dettagli e, soprattutto, prezzi?

Credo che se dovete girare per locali la cosa migliore è un video live, con relativo live cd.
Se volete girare per radio vi conviene un demo.
@stevemcfalz - il video live ce l'abbiamo già. Anzi, appena riesco a decodificarlo, lo metto su youtube e di conseguenza qui. Per radio..non credo ci interessi..per ora... Grazie!

and yes, in english we would say "krishtuhn" to pronounce your name, not like how you say it, using all the letters...although i think i will say it in a video, because i know my explanation of the vowels may not have been adequate lol
and you use 'zed' for Z too!
