Ok, I admit, yesterday my angry mood made me do some stupid thing and my vendicative attitude led my mind roaming erratically for the whole afternoon made me looking like very difficult to deal with.
This is not how I am and I know that I reached my peak of standing this situation. I'm just waiting some day to go to the boss and do some talking about many things happened recently. If they take advantage of it now then they'll do it always. And nobody wants that, right?
Anyway, in these post-gig days I'm taking a serious look at my equipment. The most serious part regards my amplifier. At first I wanted something cheap and "dedicated" for bass only. Then I decided that my 10 watts only were not enough for gigging and practice with the band, especially because my amplifier emitted some strange buzzing sound. Plus, more other issues as periodically disfunctions made me think to get rid of it and buy a new one.
I took a look around, brand, models and watts and I wrote down a list of possible good ones. At first I thought about a Behringer, which are really cheap but sound's quality is not well considered around. Then I thought about an Orange one, but it looks not very versatile among the various genres I'd like to play. Anyway, I'm keeping an Orange Crush 35B on my list.
Then, I started looking for a bit more powerful ones, such as Hartke and Ashdown. Found a couple of the first one, Hartke B60 (60W) and B900 (90W) with prices that goes from 293€ to 329€ on the eBay. Well, I fixed my budget at 300€ because this time I don't want to be stingy and get a good product without any further/future issue about its work.
About Ashdown. I found this couple of amps called MAG C410T-300 and MAG C210T-300 which are both 300W (but only if "helped" with an additional cabinet) and 190W of effective power which, for me, is more than enough. Anyway, I prefer have a bit of power more and reduce it, instead of having not much of and being forced to "take the hell out of it". The main difference stands by the fact that 410 means 4 speakers sized 10" and 210 is a 2x10" one. People suggested the second one, the 210, since the other one doesn't allow to amplify it with a cabinet. That's in case I'm going to buy one of those big ones. But I'm not going to do it. Not at the moment.
I found also an Ashdown EB 15-180 EVO II Combo, which looks good for my needs, even the price is quite good. Looks like the One.
I think I'll have to take another look at the shop near here.

Sono alla ricerca di un ampli decente che rimpiazzi il mio vecchio ampli da chitarra che uso da 15 anni e che ho portato anche sabato sera. Vedendone i paurosi limiti. Ronzii, disfunzionamenti continui e poca poca poca potenza. Tanto da far distorcere il suono naturale del Fender Jazz. In alcuni casi poteva anche andare bene. Ma non durante The Show Must Go On!
Ho quindi cominciato a cercare alcuni amplificatori che facessero al caso mio, innalzando il budget a 300€ e puntando quindi a qualcosa di qualità migliore. Parliamo di Watt. All'inizio 35-45 erano abbastanza, secondo me, dopodichè ho cominciato a pensare di averne di più, in modo che facesse bene sia in casa, che in sala prove che, eventualmente, in live.
Ho cominciato quindi guardando i Behringer e smettendo un attimo dopo. Qualità/prezzo davvero invidiabili, ma nessuno che ne abbia consigliato l'uso. Spendi poco, ottieni poco. Certo, comunque meglio del mio Samick.
Allora sono passato agli Orange e il Crush 35B da 35W non mi sembra affatto male. Avendo però un prezzo simile al budget, perchè non chiedere in giro e dare un'occhiata a quello che ne viene fuori? Allora i nomi che sono usciti più facilmente sono, a parte MarkBass e SWR (che costano un BOTTO) Ashwdown e Hartke.
Hartke ha fatto due ampli, il B60 e il B900 (rispettivamente da 60 e 90 watt) che sembrano interessanti, per qualità, prezzo e potenza. Così come la Ashdown, con il MAG C410T-300 e il C210T-300 (300W massimi di potenza ma 190 effettivi. I 300W si ottengono se uniti a dei coni con una resistenza pari a quelli montati. In parole povere. Se ci attacco una cassa con altri coni da 4ohm allora otteniamo i 300W di potenza). Consigliato più il 210 che il 410. La differenza sta che il 210 ha 2 coni da 10", mentre il 410 ne ha 4, ma non è possibile attaccargli un diffusore (cosa possibile col 210).
C'è anche l'EB 12-180 EVO II combo, sembre della Ashdown, dal prezzo molto interessante e da 180W. Visto che siamo in ballo, meglio ballare no?
Nel frattempo. Nel riquadrino sopra c'è la nostra versione live di Mother Earth dei Within Temptation. Esplicitamente per vvvoi che non vi siete fatti vivi sabato sera (e per cui le mie maledizioni vi perseguiteranno a vita). Il basso si sente poco ma è colpa della videocamera che ha registrato il tutto, che ha pochi bassi. Però io riesco a sentirmi senza problemi.
Mia madre mi ha chiesto "e tu dove sei?".
"Quel suono basso".
Bello quel tintinnare di bicchieri prima dell'inizio. Fa molto live. Come in quello di Jaco Pastorius che "vorrebbe salutare suo padre tra il pubblico".
Parliamo d'altro. Datemi un minuto solo.
Recentemente ho avuto un pò di problemi legati a forte nervosismo e rabbia sul lavoro.
Lo so, lo so, tutti pronti a dire "non ne vale la pena arrabbiarsi".
Permettetemi una domanda allora: Considerando che si parla di rispetto e scarsa considerazione da parte di chi dovrebbe dirigere il reparto. E considerando pure che da tale mancanza di rispetto (in pratica un volgare approfittarsi del sottoscritto) si genera una sostanziale mancanza di apprezzamento "pecuniario", apprezzamento che, in caso di altri colleghi è ben più che mostrato, io vi chiedo. Non vale davvero la pena arrabbiarsi?
Il fatto è che certa gente si lava la bocca con la parola rispetto. Parola che diventa volgare, se detta da chi che ne trasfigura completamente il senso. Ho in mente di andare dal caporeparto a fare un discorsetto, visto che, paradossalmente, la storia del premio (in denaro) mancato ANCHE quest'anno può anche andarmi giù, ma non il fatto che mi si venga a fare la morale da chi, ripeto, ha una visione distorta e "oratoriale" della suddetta.
Quello che più mi imbestialisce è il fatto che questo "premio" è più una specie di bavaglio per chi, arrabbiato perchè non l'ha preso l'anno precedente, viene "zittito" con questi soldi. E sapere che l'anno prossimo "potrei" prenderlo per questo motivo, e NON perchè mi sono dato da fare, mi sono sbattuto e, soprattutto ho sopportato un mediocre che non apprezza il lavoro altrui ma lo usa come strumento di riuscita personale. Non voglio proprio essere complice di un perdente simile.
